Costco Fiber Internet: A 2026 Availability Guide

Navigating options for high-speed home internet can be complex, especially with viral social media claims advertising low-cost \"Costco Fiber Internet\" packages.

Costco Wholesale does not operate its own fiber network, lay optical cable, or sell proprietary internet subscriptions under the Costco brand. Instead, Costco serves as an authorized retail distributor for established telecommunications providers—such as AT&T Fiber and T-Mobile 5G Home Internet in the U.S., and Primus in Canada.

Members who sign up for high-speed internet through a Costco warehouse kiosk or Costco.com online portal can unlock exclusive member incentives, including Costco Digital Shop Cards, waived setup fees, and bundle discounts.

1. How Fiber Internet Deals Work via Costco

When you purchase home internet through Costco, your actual broadband connection, hardware, and billing are serviced directly by partner telecommunications carriers:

Service Delivery: Fiber connections are installed and maintained by third-party ISPs like AT&T Fiber.
Costco Perks: Orders placed through authorized Costco channels earn Digital Shop Cards (valued up to $150 on 1 Gig+ plans) and waived activation fees on qualifying plans.
Billing Management: Monthly internet charges appear directly on your account statement from the service provider, not from Costco.

2. Comparing Home Internet Partners at Costco

Depending on your geographical area, different high-speed broadband options are available through Costco partner kiosks:

Partner Carrier	Technology Type	Speed Tiers Available	Member Incentive / Perk
AT&T Fiber	Dedicated Fiber Optic	300 Mbps up to 5,000 Mbps (5 GIG)	Up to $150 Digital Shop Card (1 Gig+ plans) + Waived Activation
T-Mobile Home Internet	5G Fixed Wireless	72 Mbps – 245 Mbps average	$25–$75 Digital Shop Card + 5-Year Price Guarantee
Primus (Canada)	Fiber & Cable Broadband	75 Mbps up to 1,000 Mbps (1 Gig)	Discounted Monthly Rates + Free Wi-Fi Equipment Rental

3. Dedicated News & Movie Streaming Add-Ons

While Costco does not provide direct TV broadcasts, members can pair their fiber connection with live TV news and blockbuster movie streaming services through carrier partnerships and hardware sold at the club:

Live News & Financial Channels

Carrier Live TV Add-Ons: Pairing AT&T Fiber with DIRECTV Stream through Costco setup portals grants access to major national cable news channels, including CNN, FOX News, MSNBC, CNBC, and Bloomberg.
Smart TV Streaming: 4K Smart TVs purchased at Costco come pre-configured with free ad-supported streaming platforms (such as Pluto TV and Tubi), providing instant access to NBC News NOW, ABC News Live, and CBS News.

Movies & On-Demand Entertainment

Bundled Streaming Packages: Select carrier promotions allow you to pair high-speed fiber internet with streaming bundles like NOW StreamSaver, which includes Netflix, Apple TV+, and Peacock Premium.
Discounted Digital Gift Cards: Members can regularly purchase discounted e-gift cards for popular video-on-demand services (such as Paramount+ or Apple TV+) to reduce monthly streaming expenses.

4. How to Claim Your Costco Member Incentives

To ensure you receive all qualifying member bonuses when signing up for home fiber internet:

Verify Local Address: Check carrier availability maps through the official Costco online showcase or a warehouse sales representative.
Provide Active Membership Details: Enter your 12-digit Costco membership number during the signup checkout process.
Complete Professional Installation: Have your fiber line activated and set up by the service technician.
Claim Digital Shop Card: Digital Shop Cards are issued via email or SMS text message within 30 to 60 days following account activation.
