Cox Communications provides high-speed cable and fiber broadband services across 19 US states, delivering download speeds ranging from 100 Mbps up to 2,000 Mbps (2 Gbps). While Cox does not offer a standalone, commercial senior discount based solely on age, older adults on fixed incomes can access subsidized rates through Cox’s ConnectAssist program or the Lifeline federal credit, alongside flexible standard residential internet tiers.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Cox offer a direct discount based solely on turning 55 or 65? No. Cox does not offer automatic age-based senior discounts. Subsidized rates like ConnectAssist ($30/mo) require proof of participation in income-tested benefit programs (such as SSI or Medicaid).
Are there annual contracts on standard Cox internet plans? Most residential Cox plans offer month-to-month service options, though promotional pricing agreements may carry 12- to 24-month price locks. ConnectAssist features zero annual contracts.
Can I combine Cox Internet with home telephone service? Yes. Cox offers Cox Voice add-on packages that plug directly into the Panoramic Wi-Fi Gateway to preserve traditional landline telephone functionality.
